This Month in Photo of the Day: Nature and Weather Photos

Tracking tigers in Ranthambore Forest, I descended a dry grey valley. On the opposite side of the valley I discovered some lovely red blooming trees. I prepared my 600m tele on the tripod, and as I was composing the image I suddenly saw Hanuman langurs, which were treating themselves to the sweet red blossoms.

A woman milks a mare in the village of Kogershin in southern Kazakhstan. Recent archaeological studies have shown that the Botai people of the Eurasian steppes were the first to actively domesticate horses, 5,500 years ago.
